So it's not as though there's anything wrong with science, whether rockety or otherwise. Nope, I'd never tell you a thing like that.
But sit down around the campfire, and I'll tell you a story.
Once upon a time, in a hardware store far, far away, a thoughtful clerk looked at my t-shirt and asked me if I really was a rocket scientist.
And I've always felt guilty that I said 'Yes'. Because I'm more what you would call a rocket artist, after all.
The key difference being that my rockets don't actually need to
fly.
So maybe I should have designed a Rocket Artist t-shirt. Maybe I
still should. Anyway, I think that was on my mind when I designed this one. Maybe not for me, but for those who raise their own particular brand of rocket science to an art form.
'Cause you don't figure out how to safely crash land a robot on Mars unless you've got something going for you.
Or maybe just because.
Anyhow, this is the 2011 redesign of my "There's an Art to Rocket Science" T-shirt (

The Retropolis Transit Authority. Because - apparently - I have to remind myself of this one every few years.
