Here's another Celtic knotwork design based on a couple of "gripping beasts" that look more like gryphons than they look like, say, badgers; so I've decided that's what they are. Gryphons of the snake-tailed school, anyway.
They're based on one of the patterns I drew for a book on harp decoration that I was working on in the mid '80's; never quite finished it. But I did then do a 32 color version of them back on the days when I was working on Amiga computers, and resurrected that version for a thorough repainting in Photoshop not so very long ago. And here they are.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community.
