Artist's Comments

What it comes down to is this: you're pretty sure that what you do IS rocket science, right? Or someone else would be doing it. But in spite of that, life's just full of other things that aren't.

This, another T-Shirt design [link] for the Retropolis Transit Authority, is a natural counterpoint to my "This IS Rocket Science" design. Because what we find in life is that some things are, while others are... not.

We often disagree on which is which. So consider this my simple effort to make it easier to label one or the other.

Great design! The cool 50s flair is very fun, and the typography is very good. It feels like a vintage ad.

This one makes me giggle, since my hubby can technically call himself a rocket scientist in his field. We joke about it all the time about something not taking rocket science, but if it did he'd be all over it.

This should be pasted on the wall of every wanna-be poet in the world.

Great. I think you are one of the few, for the next "Bioshock" or "Fallout" Design, very good stuff!

What do Rocket Scientists say when working on rocket science and someone asks a really dumb question?

Maybe the mechanical construction of a robot in the 50's must benefited from the rocket technology much more than initially espected: imagine a steam-activated actuators for arms and legs and this steam generated by Hydrogen Peroxide in a reaction chamber. This was the secret of a rocket motor turbopumps in the 40's rockets from V-2 era.
More recently, the latest artificial-muscle robot development requires Hydrogen Peroxide into his working process, exudating a few water droplets.
